Chinese Year of the Monkey!

Hi everyone! Chinese New Year is approaching very quickly (February 8th!) With the Lunar New Year, there are tons of festivals and activities taking place, including the Lantern Festival and much more. This year is celebrating the Year of the Monkey(hóu zi)! (The monkey is one of the twelve animals in the Chinese Zodiac.)

According to traditional Chinese beliefs, someone born in the year of the monkey is bright, energetic, gregarious, clever, and confident in his or her decisions. However, because of this, he or she will tend to look down on people.

2016 is especially a dangerous year for those born in the year of the monkey in terms of love life, career, and health. So, if you are born in 2016, 2004, 1992, 1980, 1968, or so on, be careful! (The year of the birth sign is known to be very unlucky.)

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Be sure to check back next week to discover more activities that take place during the Chinese New Year Festival!

    猴子是一个认人们又恨又爱的动物!牠们非常调皮但是又很有人性。在这迎接猴年的前夕,大家应该更要把握在羊年的最后几天,好好学习以及锻炼身体,让自己成为一个充满活力的孙悟空!
