Dim Sum Guide (Part II)

Dim sum is a unique Chinese style of cooking where food is usually served as small, bite-sized portions. The food is usually presented in steam baskets. I know when I go eat Dim Sum, I like to try everything! Here are some more of the most popular dishes seen at most Dim Sum restaurants:

1.) Spring Rolls
These are delicious! It is shrimp, pork, and sometimes beef with vegetables wrapped in a thin, crispy sheet.

2.) Clams in black bean sauce
These are stir fried clams mixed with a light black bean sauce. They taste as good as they look!

3.) Shrimp Stuffed Eggplant
This is ground shrimp stuffed in a Chinese eggplant. I’ll be honest, when I first saw this dish, I didn’t think it would taste very good. But after tasting it, I instantly fell in love with it. Now, I eat this every time I am at dim sum.

4.) Baked Pork Buns
This dish is made with BBQ pork inside a sweet bun. It tastes amazing!

5.) Turnip Cake
This is grated Chinese turnip with dried shrimp and sausage, then pan fried and cooled.

I did not know this many dishes existed in Chinese Dim Sum

I learned that you can eat spring rolls, clams in black bean sauce, shrimp stuffed eggplant, etc. I didn’t know that the clams are stir-fried, before the black bean sauce is added.
