Flipping Talented

It is a universally agreed fact that children tend to be flexible. Perhaps they can do a split, or maybe even a backbend. Once in a while, a child might be able to do a cartwheel, but backflips are a feat that are pretty rare to see. Now imagine a child backflipping 60 times in 40 seconds, or 80 times in one minute! Isn’t that extraordinary?

Meet Li Jiamin, a 5 year old girl living in northern China who can accomplish this astonishing feat. At a young age of 4, her own father, a martial artist, became her teacher and trainer. He noticed that she seemed interested in flipping, and decided to teach her how to do so. Now, Jiamin is able to do so much more than backflipping. She can do handstand walks and also climb stairs while bending over backwards.

Jiamin trains for 2 hours every day, which isn’t an easy feat. Jiamin herself was close to giving up in the beginning because she kept on failing repeatedly and hitting her head while attempting backflipping. However, after persistent hard work, she is now able to backflip flawlessly.

Li Jiamin’s ultimate goal is to break the Guinness World Record for greatest number of backflips within 1 minute. With her fierce determination and resilience, she is bound to break the record one day.

If you want to see her in action, here is a video:

I saw this video on YouTube before reading this article, and I was amazed! Li Jiamin Is so talented and her determination is inspiring. She would make an amazing gymnast or martial artist, and it would be truly incredible if she could beat a Guinness World Record at just five years old. Thanks for sharing!

I am speechless! It takes people who are much older and more experienced years to master such stunts and she was able to learn so much in one short year at the age of 5! That’s amazing!

I agree with Li Jiamin’s father when he said that she is a very resilient girl. Her continuous effort to perfecting her flips and following in her father’s martial arts footsteps is admirable. At such a young age, her already impressive skills are bound to help her achieve her goal of breaking the Guinness World record.

I am pretty impressed that this little girl could do so many flips. Usually, it would take years to master it, but this girl did so well. Even I can’t do a flip. (^-^)

This is amazing! The girl is so strong-willed and resilient. I can’t believe she was able to do 80 summersaults in just 1 minute. And she’s only 5 and already has completed such a feat. I am looking forward to her breaking the world record.

I am amazed and in disbelief on how a girl so young could do those thing! This is really difficult to do at such a young age and I’m a really amazed on how she could do that and hoping she’ll break the world record!

I’m not really that flexible so I think that it is amazing that she can do 80 somersaults in 1 minute. She works really hard each day. She already has a goal to beat the Guinness World Record of somersaults per minute. She’s so young and is ready to compete with the adults.

The title was really eye-catching and made me wonder what this article was going to be about. But this wasn’t what I was expecting. Imagine doing 80 backflips in a row wouldn’t she get dizzy? This is so cool!

That girl is amazing! I couldn’t do one somersault if I wanted too and she could do 80 in one minute! Imagine how much better she’ll be when she is older!

Wow! I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw her in the Olympics! I can only do one in the pool. This is also a great example that if you love something enough and you work hard for it, you’ll get it eventually.
